These terms cover your use of Memorial Booklet at memorialbooklet.com and your purchase of a booklet. By using the site or buying, you agree to them.

1. What you are buying

A one-time payment of $19 (£15 in the UK) unlocks, for 30 days, downloads without the watermark of the booklet you make: a print-ready PDF with the pages arranged for double-sided printing and a page-by-page PDF. You also receive a printing guide by email. The free preview, with a watermark, is always available without payment. There is no subscription.

2. Your words, your proofreading

The booklet is set from the details you type. You are responsible for checking names, dates, spellings and the running order before printing, and for having the right to use any photos and any words you add with "Use your own words". The readings, hymns and poems in our library are in the public domain in the US and the UK, as recorded on each text's page.

3. Changes and devices

The booklet and photos are stored in your browser on the device where you make them. If you clear your browser's data or change device, the booklet you typed cannot be recovered by us, because we never receive it. Your order still unlocks downloads for 30 days on any device where you open the link in your email.

4. No warranty

The site and the files are provided "as is". We work to make the booklet print correctly on ordinary home printers and at copy shops, but printers differ, and we do not warrant that every printer will reproduce it exactly. Print one copy first.

5. Refunds

If you paid and the booklet cannot be downloaded or will not print correctly, email [email protected]. We will put it right, or refund your payment.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about the site or a booklet is limited to the amount you paid, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

7. Acceptable use

Do not resell the service, scrape the site, attempt to get around the payment, or use the service for anything unlawful.

8. Intellectual property

The site's design, code and templates are ours. The booklet you make, with your words and photos, is yours to print and share. The public-domain texts belong to everyone.

9. Third parties

Payments are handled by Stripe under Stripe's terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator is established. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you also keep the protections of the law where you live.

11. Changes

We may update these terms and will change the effective date when we do. Terms in force when you paid apply to that purchase.
